Ticket sales at the gate on event nights end 30 minutes prior to closing.

Get tickets online to save and skip the line

 Tickets are going fast!

We highly recommend buying tickets online in advance to save and skip the line. There is a maximum number of online tickets available for each night and they are selling quickly, particularly from December 15 to 26.

Space permitting, tickets will also be available at the gate; the best time for walk-up entry is after 8pm.

The Tourism Challenge Privilege Pass, Vancouver Inspiration Pass, Leisure Access Pass and Entertainment Book coupons are not valid for special events, including VanDusen Festival of Lights.

Air France carousel

Get swept away on a Parisian musical experience as the ride gently spins you around the world. Snap, share, and tag your photos on the ride on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook, using the hashtag #AFxParisCarousel, for a chance to win two tickets to Paris, courtesy of Air France and YVR.

All tickets include a free ride on the carousel. (Suitable for ages 2 years and older and children 91 cm, or 36 inches, and taller. Parents are not permitted to hold babies on the carousel. Other safety restrictions may apply).

Dancing lights

Be mesmerized by lights dancing to classic, disco and soul music sets on Livingstone Lake, every 20 minutes. 

Storytime with Santa (December 1 to 24 from 5pm to 7:45pm daily)

Families, kids and couples alike can listen to holiday stories and take a selfie with Santa in the glasshouse until December 24. This is now a free experience included with entry!

Vancouver Puppet Theatre (December 26 to January 7)

Meet the puppets in the glasshouse at this interactive musical puppet show with singing, clapping, music, and laughter!

Festival stage

Sing along to your favourite festive classics! Enjoy warm holiday beverages while listening to singers, choirs, bands and entertainers inside the Visitor Centre halls. This area is now fully licensed. Xmas Factor A holiday singing contest will be held by Studio Cloud 30 from December 11 to 14. Learn more and apply .

Fireside Lounge

Gather around the fire pits and warm up with a specialty holiday beverage in this new outdoor licensed area.

Make-A-Wish® - Candle Grotto

Make a donation to our charity partner, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and make a wish while you light a candle to fill this picturesque grotto.

Make-A-Wish® - Lego Room of Joy

In the Visitor Centre, learn about the Make-A-Wish BC & Yukon, get a glow star with a minimum $5 donation and enjoy the Lego display!

Recycled rhythms

Let your kids have some fun making music with recycled instruments.

Tinsel tunes

Play the piano and sing along to holiday tunes in the garden.

Selfie spots and photo ops

Look out for frames, sets, and other selfie spots throughout the show and make sure to share with #VanDusenFOL

Washrooms

Full-service washrooms are located in the Visitor Centre.

Portable toilets are outside the garden entrance and inside the garden.

Weather

If there is heavy snow or extreme weather, the Festival of Lights may close.

Accessibility

Most paths are paved and fully accessible for wheelchairs.

The Heather Garden, Black Garden, and Gingko Garden are not fully accessible.

There are a very limited number of wheelchairs available for use, on a first come, first served basis.

Please wear comfortable shoes that are weather appropriate.

Pets

Dogs and pets are not permitted into the garden, except for certified guide dogs.
